    Happy Holidays (2017)

That's a pretty long day. Of course you're at 63 degrees north only a few degrees from the arctic circle. I'm only at 42 degrees. How short are the days around Dec 21?

question Thoughts on Reconciliation With An Ex

Well, we found the rose colored glasses wearing delusionalist in the group. If things were as happy and amicable between the two of them as you imagine them, they wouldn't have broken up in the first place. Fixating on his ex and hanging out with her (unless in an occasional group context)...

question Thoughts on Reconciliation With An Ex

Based on the context it seems like he's referring to an ex-girlfriend, not an ex-wife. So, I don't think he needs legal advice. I'm more curious as to why he's hanging been out with an ex-GF for the past year.

question Thoughts on Reconciliation With An Ex

That probably depends on why you broke up with her a year ago. Without more backstory it's hard to give any good bro advice.

I spent some time this weekend with a Blackmagic Design URSA Mini Pro + Canon 70-200mm F2.8 IS USM II on my shoulder this past weekend. It was a tad heavy and uncomfortable. The image quality at 1080p was quite impressive.

Well, my 168 hour challenge is complete. I started with 86% battery and ended with 18%. The cellular and WiFi radio were on the whole time. Bluetooth and location services were not.

    New phone time: old-school

Well, it's possible that the battery gauge is lying to me. It indicates the phone uses about 10% of the charge per day sitting (powered up with the radios [cellular / wifi] on). I haven't tried to actually use it for a week without charging it. I charge it daily for about 10 minutes in my car...

I haven't found that to be true at all. Of course it all depends what you are referring to by "sound quality". Their speaker phones tend to be quite good because of the emphasis they all have in media playback through the same external speaker. If you're talking about call audio quality to...

SSDs - State of the Product?

I'm not really sure. There's not much performance increase, but there's a big increase in power consumption. It certainly isn't suited for a laptop if you care about battery life.

That sucks... I haven't had that problem yet. I'm pretty sure the real answer is that the gov't is addicted to the power they can wield via social engineering through tax policy. A flat tax with no deductions, write-offs, etc. would deprive them of their behavior steering inclinations.
