Cats and moths or, Tannin, do I have a weird cat?

Well, my little girl is 1/2 feral, and, she's NOT your normal cat. I have pics of her jumping straight up, oh about door handle height plus a foot, turning 180 in the air, using tail, and taking off chasing a fake mouse. She also does things like jump over 6' from the ground, to my shower top...

    Giving Up a Car

I bought a Toyota Tercel, 1988 Ez, new, outright. Right off the bat, cheap insurance, since I didn't cover it for comprehensive. I'm a good driver, so low rates. No payments. With tax results, I make money when I drive. I still have the same car. 110 a year for state use fees, also known as...

I need a color laser printer

From looking at reviews of HP's, it looks like you have to spend about 1600 bucks, or more, to get a decent printer. I paid 2 g's for the 4000N, with 72 mb of ram, and duplex unit. Is it worth it? Still going. If I bought another printer for school, it would likely be the 4000 series...

What anti-spyware anti-adware combos do you use nowadays?

Just a little tongue and cheek, but, with drives with visible, and audible, though not right now over the darn 600 watt, noisy power supply, activity lights, you can tell when stuff is running that shouldn't be. In the prior config, with 68 pin drives, and 4 boot drives (Raid 0) I could hear...

David: couldn't find the case you linked to, and all I get is a picture using that link. I pulled my new box apart, and the Swifttech cooler is, at least with the current weather, a passive cooler. The fan is controlled by a sensor, and the temperature never gets over 85 degrees F on the...

I need a very quiet power supply for a dual Xeon Supermicro

Thanks CougTek. Why do Socket 939 Boards suck so much?

Mercutio: ATI's software is pretty sucky. Not totally awful, but pretty bad, don't you think? Minimal install solves that, but I'm not sure customers would be jazzed. That said, the drivers can also suck. Guy telling me my 700XL didn't work, becuase it froze with the windows 64 bit drivers...

Well, the 700XL with 256 mb of vram is pretty impressive. Combined with the 3000+, it flys. Gives my dual Xeons and the 800XL a run for the money. I kind of wonder if for 250, it isn't the value card, overall.

Why do Socket 939 Boards suck so much?

Why do Socket 939 Boards suck so much?

Hi Buck: I looked at your recommendation, but it's a PCI-E board, and I have an ATI 700 XL with AGP8X I wanted to use in this box. Other then that, I think the features are nearly identical, so I have the GA-K8NSCC-939 sitting here, and, it may not have a bad motherboard ATA channel, after...

Haven't figured it all out right now, but, running with an ATI 700XL, it seems to run games as fast, or faster, then the ATI 800XL, on the Xeon dual 2.8ghz. NO PROBLEMS WITH THE VIDEO CARD. It must be ATI's drivers for Windows 64 bit that aren't compatible with the Nvidia 3 chipset. Guess...
