For years I have used a tool called X-Setup form Xteq as a complementary tool to tweakUI.

I never understood why people were so obsessed with registry tweaks the hard way. Simply use the X-Setup GUI and you have the option to enable/disable/set 99% of the registry tweaks out there for win9x to win2k3.

Not only does it ahve them, but it will notify you if you are trying to change a critical system value and often gives you a description next to each setting you change. Everything is ordered in a nice tree view(if using the classic power user interface) so it's easy to navigate was well. There are wizards for common tasks for beginners.
