With the recent onslaught of spammers we've been receiving, I've enabled moderation of new accounts which means they will not be able to post until I approve their account. They will be able to sign up, but until I make an educated guess at the account, they won't be able to post.

I've gone through and removed many accounts with zero posts from the past week or more. We may still have a few accounts that are dormant which could be spammers. They will be dealt with if they post spam.

I will begin working on more solutions to protect us from inappropriate posts for new users. Some suggestions I've read from people here will be to implement the more advanced reCAPTCHA, and to disallow image-posting until "n" number of posts have been made by a member to ensure they are real.

Let me know if you have more ideas, concerns, etc.

I would just suggest giving someone else mod rights to remove spam posts, delete users that have posted spam, etc.

I haven't done much, so I apologize that you all have had to endure crappy porn links.

I tried getting the mod thing working before for a couple people but could never get the permissions just right. I'm snowed in today, so I'll get it working.

Tim (unrelated), I sent you an e-mail back. The DNS has been corrected and it should be fixed in a day after propagation.
