I don't really do wild. I'm taking 1.5 TB of videos and ebooks and I guess I'll watch some of the stuff I've been dutifully copying for years. I guess I can vpn if I need anything else, assuming the hotel wireless doesn't suck.

I've never stayed in a hotel that didn't have crappy broadband. They all suck. Some just suck a little less than others.

My network connection appears to be throttled at 384kbps. RDP is unreliable and it's looking like I get at most maybe 10 HTTP requests at a time.

Tomorrow is election day, so the state office where I'm working will be closed. I found out there's a Six Flags amusement park and I got all excited for about five minutes. Then I found out it's closed all year.

I think I know now why business travelers mostly sit around and drink.

I know that is what I did. If I was into photography at the time, it would have been better. When I was single it was far more fun than when I wasn't.
