Hi, Thanks for the reply, at least now I know what I need to do. Have had a massive headache trying to work out why the board won't post, even sent one back as faulty. Will have to see if I can borrow a 2011 CPU from somewhere. Thanks again for the help.

Hi, Sorry to dig up an old thread, I am having the same issue with the 4960x and the Gigabyte X79-UP4. Did you get anywhere in the end? I'm thinking it's something to do with BIOS version, however I don't have another sky-2011 processor to put in and update the BIOS. Would be great to hear how...
