I eventually gave up and binned the thing. It seems to be a common limitation with these IDE to USB addaptors. I cannot get mine to recognise any drive smaller than about 1 Gig, regardless...
By all means, be as negative as you like - it was a long shot. Anybody else got any ideas re: accessing this type of drive via a usb2 adaptor? I'm assuming I need a driver from somwhere, but both Seagate and Microsloth assure me that I don't, so what would I know. I only started doing it...
I know it's a long time ago, but did you have any luck with this? I've got the same drive and trying to connect using usb2.0 to IDE addaptor. Windows XP sees the drive and even shows the model number, but tells me there is no driver. Any ideas?
