Because we have a number of newly domesticated members at present, I thought it might be helpful to provide some hints and tips for happy domesticity, gleaned from Tannin's and my extensive experience in running a happy, efficient household together. It is particullarly important to see that the basic chores are taken care of cheerfully and efficiently.
LESSON One: How to clean a toilet
1. Add an appropriate amount of shampoo to the toilet water, and put both lids up.
2. Pick up the cat and soothe him while you carry him towards the bathroom.
3. In a single swift movement, put the cat in the toilet and close both lids. (You may need to stand on the lid.) The cat will self agitate and make ample suds. (Do not be concerned about any noises yo may hear: the cat is actually enjoying this.)
4. For the power wash and rinse stage, flush three or four times. (Be carefull to keep both lids closed.)
5. Have an assistant open the door to the outside (Be sure that there are no people between the toilet and the outside door.)
6. Stand behind the toilet as far as you can, and quickly lift both lids.
7. The beautifully clean cat will rocket out of the toilet, and run outside where he will dry himself off. The toilet will be sparkling clean!
