Ok, I have 2 Linux hosts that I want to hook to one Fibre channel SAN (NexStor CR8F). The SAN has two fibre channel connections (each with a in and out DB9 connector) on a previous SAN similar to this (NexStor 18F) with the same setup (2 connectors on the SAN) I was able to hook one host to the A channel IN and ne host to the B channel IN and everything worked fine. Now I am seeming to get locking issues on RAW devices when I hook up in an identical fashion.

I know if I get a switch it might help, but I really don't want to spend that kind of money right now if it really isn't needed.

Anyone got any wisdom to share on this type of configuration?

Thanks.

I am omnipresent
Get a Fibre Switch or a Fibre hub. That's what they do.

There's tons of used FC equipment on ebay.
