Storage? I am Storage!
How do people here image a laptop that has no FW and at best, USB 1.1 on board?
I've spent way too much time trying to get this to work (I'm sure nobody noticed, but I've been AWOL for several days) and am frustrated as hell.
There's a site here that sells a DOS Cardbus F/W enabler (among other goodies) for 50 Euros, but the trial version did nothing for me.
I've spent hours Googling and have gone around in circles. None of the the big mfrs. seem to care; some like Adaptec point-blank say sorry, go to hell, and others like Belkin make no mention of it. Symantec says they don't support Cardbus.
I have Ghost 2003 and have tried various flavors of the boot disk (PC-DOS, MS-DOS, etc.)
FWIW, the test laptop is an IBM ThinkPad T23 (TI PCI1420 CardBus Controller) with an Adaptec FireConnect 3-port Firewire Cardbus AFW-1430 (NEC chipset).
Any pointers will be appreciated, even if it is to tell me to go soak my head in a bucket of cold water (I could use it).
