As much as I don't think that it was really a statement anymore by the time these particullar girls were involved it was still perfectly harmless... I don't see that you can punish a person for someone elses paranoid fears about what they might have been doing...

O.K so they left suspicious packages arround the place... Well more curious than suspicious... I mean if I saw one of them hanging from a tree or a power pole I don't think my first thought would be "Oh my God it could be a bomb!". If it was it would be a fairly large departure from tradition, bombs that are attempting to draw attention to themselves... Of course I probably would have gotten the reference...

The question really seems to be is it reasonable to assume that every package that we can't imediately identify is or could be an explosive device put there to kill people... My answer would be no... Use a little bit of common sense, if there is a bomb threat or some event is in progress which could represent a terrorist target, or even if your just at a high risk location then yeah, take a closer look (Or get the bomb squad to do so)... But if you start looking at anything that's the right size to be a bomb as a possible threat then your just plain paranoid and no one should be punished for your problems...

Somewhere in time.
In this age of paranoia, when a fart in public can cause you to be arrested for endangering others, I think children should be educated as to the kind of games they can play outside the home. This country has lost it's sense of balance, fairness and justice after those events some summers ago.

It's often said that true greatness is measured in times of difficulty, not when things are going swell, when it's easy to be great. By this test, this country has failed utterly.
