Here is the official roadmap for development of the next major version. I've read that as of Nov. 28th, that are part way into M-2.

I'm in the process of setting up a phpBB forum (2.0.3) to replace the ezboard forum I run now. ezboard used to be good but the way they run their business now is shocking. they don't reply to support requests and they've actually managed to reduce the feature set they offer whilst driving the price up. now with 720 members on my board they want to charge me $280 p/a. yeah right...

OK , I'll get off my soapbox now.
