Hi
I've had good luck with a couple tweaks in XP that I used in 2000.
With sufficent ram,
DisablePagingExecutive, value 1, and LargeSystemCache value 1, along with clear pagefileAtShutdown at 1, seem to noticeably improve preformance on my XP machine.
The same settings, with 384 mb of ram on a Dell P2, 400 mhz, forced the machine to shut down, so use these tweaks at your own risk.
Anyone else have ideas on settings in the registry for XP that improve preformance, without threatening stability?
