Samsung SP0812C very low benchmark scores. - NEED HELP!

I have 1 Samsung SP0812C 80gb SATA drive.

PCmark 2002 HDD score = 390
PCmark 2004 HDD score = 3166
SiSoft Sandra File System Benchmark = 15MB/s

these are really low scores.

I need to know what are the normal scores for and 80gig SATA drive or if I should have my drive RMA, it's supposed to be brand new.

Do you have DMA turned on?

Have you tried a different cable?

Is this your boot drive?

Sandra is not a reliable benchmark tool, try something else. I couldn't tell you what to use, because I haven't bothered to benchmark a hdd in several years.

You might want to try something like IOMeter.

it is boot drive

will be trying ATTO and HD Tach soon.

I only have this issue when installed on Sata 1 of moved to sata 3 drive is so much faster

44MB/s on sandra.

So, you have four SATA ports? Are all ports controlled by the same processor, or are two native to the chipset and two controlled by something from Promise, etc.?
