Maybe drinking all the soda I do isn't so bad after all. :mrgrn:

Water pollution, air pollution, food additives-no wonder so many people end up with cancer in the US. :(

So, uh, what's the main ingredient in that beer & soda?

I mostly skimmed the article, so I missed if it gave remediation steps anywhere, like using a home water filter like those from Pur or Brita or what get's built-in to many modern fridges. Would a filter even help? I'm assuming it would but don't really know if it'd catch lead or not.

I'm pretty sure the water in beer and soda is distilled first to get all the impurities out. As for getting rid of lead, I believe most of the commercially available water filters take care of it, along with most other impurities.

Water is usually filtered or distilled for beer and soda production as jtr mentioned, albeit not for health reasons, but for consistent taste. Yet, we reap the benefits of clean water.
