Is this the drive you have Merc? Is there any other drive on the market that is better than this one?

I have one of those. It's utterly identical to the LiteOn-branded multiformat burner.
The Sony drive and the Pioneer multiformat unit (a06?) are basically neck and neck, with the Sony being a better CD burner and the Pioneer being generally faster for ripping (CD/DVDs).
