I posted this here at SR, but I know many of you, 1) have experience with wireless (particularly Mercutio :)), and, 2) also have accounts at SR, but don't check out the forum regularly.

I actually would have posted it here, but I couldn't resolve Storageforum. It was one of the sites affected by another annoying problem I experienced today.

The issue appears to involve WPA. Honold pointed out that SP2 may cause troubles in that respect, and I fall into that boat.

It's been a bizarre sunday :eekers:. Thanks for any help you may be able to provide.

I fixed it guys. What a mission. There's nothing like wasting a whole sunday afternoon fixing problems that just pop out of mid-air...

Did I ever mention that I hate:
1. Windows. (Linux users don't have to have SSID broadcast enabled on WPA-PSK networks.)
2. Proprietary configuration tools which conflict with the native Windows ones.

How a router suddenly started interfering with DNS look ups I will never know. I don't think I've ever encountered a more inexplicable, inconsistent computer problem in my life. Hell, I've installed sound cards in 286's before --not to mention played games on them-- so I know gremlins when I see them.

I believe I mentioned this in another thread recently, but I've found this DNS cache app to be quite useful.

BTW, my wife's PC has been having some intermittent wireless connectivity issues as well. Apparently XP SP2 changed some things as Netgear released an updated driver for her adapter specifically because of SP2 issues. I installed the new driver yesterday and so far so good.
