    question Glasses

I've been wearing glasses for 45 years. Critically important, make sure the lens has UV coating for UV-A and UV-B. Or you'll get cataracts quite early. Other coatings are optional. How the heck do you guys wear the same lenses for a decade? For a normal guy, you should get your vision tested...

What's the best wireless router these days?

What Merc said. Mostly, people wanted it in their homes for wireless, and devices would stop connecting after warranty expired and the thing had to be replaced. What's amazing is that people are still buying it.

Excruciatingly slow writing to external disks

Well, well. My Toshiba Canvio Basics 2 TB arrived today, and completed surface testing in five and a half hours, a whole hour faster than the "similar" WD Elements on the same USB 3 port, same testing sw. Now copying stuff to it, and it is going much faster than the WD. Was cheaper to buy, and...

    Laser Printer for W2K

I bought my Brother HL-5350DN laser printer almost 5 years ago. I've never paid attention to the number of pages I've printed, but it's very less. The drum is supposed to last for 12k pages on average. My drum went bad suddenly a couple of days ago; there is a 2-inch wide vertical band of white...

Excruciatingly slow writing to external disks

After my experience with WD externals with crappy software that can't be uninstalled, and horrible speeds, I was nervous buying another WD external, this time 2.5" 2TB. It did come with trialware in folders, needed to be installed, so I just formatted the disk and got the "whole" space back...

Hi Guys, I use MS Outlook in offline mode on my PC and use only the address and contact book. I sync this with my Samsung Android phone, and all was well till a year ago. Then my phone went wonky, and shows each calendar item twice. It also stopped respecting the reminder set; the phone...

I do know what "≥" means! Maximum output is 2000mA (1000 for battery slot, 1000 for USB port). So maximum input current is > 2000mA after allowing for losses / inefficiencies.
