I will keep an eye on that for when they get them working on 3rd gen ipods. Till then I am just noting what a massive world of difference (positive) it is in changing from a device using win mobile 6 to ipod os 3.

Look at it this way, reboot and go to the break room for 30 minutes. Boss sees that enough times he asks whats up so you give him the facts, its not your problem its really his to get you the tools you need to do the job. Not your fault that your tool doesn't allow you to work is the way I see...

    SCSI question

Have you actually tried the installer for win7 using that controller and disk? Maybe get lucky and find they carried the driver over, doubt it though. Or maybe start with xp x64 and do an upgrade which is really a wipe and replace? What does upgrade advisor say about that controller? May...

I read somewhere that they can't even write it in another language and use a translator to change to one of the approved languages, now that I thought was complete BS. Laptop with Warranty and RS-232

That sucks, it does seem like the Latitudes I have used for many years no longer have a serial port on them. I have a lot of apps that were rather picky about the serial port too but we got all that worked out, mostly it was just finding the right driver for the USB adapter chipsets.

No do NOT want a wireless contract at this time. So basically that throws out any GPS software that needs a data plan to function. PC Gaming = World of Suck

Portal came up with some really neat updates a short while back and they are targeted to treasure hunters or easter egg hunters however you want to put that. New achievements, picture files encoded in sound clips, BBS, all sorts of weird stuff. Looks like some neat stuff before portal 2 comes out.

IO meter should be telling on that, is it going through a switch? I wouldn't know what a good number for this would be though.
