Action shots with a digital camera..

I hope you printed n-up. My Oly manual was a .pdf, and Acrobat does it easily. I printed mine 4 pages to one physical page, and printed on both sides.

Action shots with a digital camera..

One thing in your favor is that digicams in general have way more depth-of-field than film cameras. After some trial and error, I've shot pics of the dolphin touching the flag at SeaWorld in San Diego and similar "action" pics. The camera is an Oly C-4000 that is well known for its great lag...

What do we all look like

No kidding, Buck. Some planes in that video were landing at such an extreme angle, correcting seconds before touchdown, can you imagine the lateral forces on the wheel assembly and what would happen to the tyres? Sheesh! I'd think it would be better not to land in those conditions but to be...

    SuSE goes free

Thanks for the info, Handy, appreciate it. As for 9.2, no, don't bother; it would be a waste of time. When I have time I'll try 9.3 on VMWW 4.5 and see what happens. I'll post back here eventually :)

No idea. I've just downloaded it, didn't even burn it yet. It'll be a few full moons before I get to play with it. Let me know how VMWW handles it. What version of VMWW are you using (probably 5.0, since EMC owns VMW)? I've been upgrading ever since I bought the full copy of version 2, and am...

I downloaded the DVD earlier today from San Francisco. Took about 4.5 hours, with the speed ranging from 260 to 340, just barely touching 400 sometimes. :x

Wanted: tool to delete undeleteable files

So am I! MoveOnBoot does #3, does it not? In normal Windows mode, use MoveOnBoot to mark the bad file. Reboot, and before Windows "starts", MoveOnBoot moves the marked file so the bad file can't cause any trouble. At this point, since the file is not in use, it should be possible to delete it...

Wanted: tool to delete undeleteable files

Tea: As the name implies, the utility works on the next boot, at boot time. If it moves the file to a different placem, whatever locks it shouldn't be ablt to find it, so it wouldn't be locked. Am I stating the obvious and yet completely missing your point?

New Computer Money just came in

You're wrong, Merc. With two Xeons, he's got two CPUs to do three user tasks (rip, play, browse). With one Athlon, one CPU is switching contexts between the three tasks. Even if all user processes are single threaded, the Windows scheduler makes use of two CPUs. And this is not counting the...
