    I heart FoxIt

There's still NitroPDF and Sumatra. Chrome has a PDF reader built-in. I believe Firefox is moving in that direction as well. I'd rather go without a PDF reader than go back to Adobe.

    FF4 and IE9

I pretty consistently see TB use 240MB RAM on Windows machines no matter how many IMAP accounts it's checking. Some of my machines only check one and some of them check nine or ten. I haven't seen an FF4 crash other than plugin container crashes from Flash.

    Failure rate statistics

New Antec NSK-series cases are made with thinner steel than older revisions, and I've had a couple shipped with DOA power supplies. I'm not sure if that's lower quality PSUs or a problem that's come from shipping practices. The only memorable in-warranty power supply failure I've had in the last...

I don't necessarily think that 1.5GB RAM for Firefox is necessarily outrageous if you have 50 open tabs and don't ever close the browser. Thunderbird climbing all the way up to .5GB is weird, though.

    SSD in RAID

It's been suggested to me very strongly that any reliability figures for MLC drive coming from drive OEMs have only casual relationship with reality. I've mentioned that in the other SSD thread but perhaps it might be wise to consider a drastic downward revision of that 30TB number just on the...

I don't know how to ride a bike at all and where I live now is not a healthy place to ride anyway. There's a skate park about a quarter mile from my apartment and one of the kids that hangs out there uses something that looks like a unicycle with half a skateboard attached to the back of it. You...

    Sandy Bridge problems

Last I saw, Intel was saying Q4 2011 for USB3 support in the south bridge, "only" two years after shipping products with USB3 support hit the channel. I don't recall USB hi-speed's adoption being this slow.

The Element has been discontinued, so clearly it didn't have many fans at Honda to begin with. And yes, it looks like a toaster, but it's an incredibly practical vehicle.

Your home Stereo/sound system/s? What did you buy, how much, and why did you buy it?

Speaking of Ebay, my bedroom set of Kef Q-series probably only cost me $600 to put together. I had to spend $100 to replace a driver on one of them but if I had paid retail or "hi-fi store used" that probably would have been $3000 worth of speakers.

Another Integra? No probably not. I'll probably look at Denon, Onkyo, Pioneer Elite and some other things are in the low-ish four figure range though. That might include an Integra, but I doubt it. I'm not terribly worried about getting a gazillion watts per channel since I don't typically...

mITX scares me more than a little bit. Decent PSUs wind up costing as much as a motherboard and Atom CPU, and then there's heat to consider for non-Atom systems. I wish I could take SFF stuff more seriously but it's still a lot easier to get good, cheap desktop parts.
