I was running UD on a machine about a year ago. But then I started to smell something. It smelled like Intel. I said no way am I going to let Intel smell up my house. It turns out the smell was only a precursor to the heinous stink found in the P4-UD combination.

    Moving day and furniture

I have some pieces of furniture that I purchased because they were cheap. However, the essential pieces of furniture that I have are a mattress and frame, a computer desk, a six foot folding table and a microwave. I didn't have the mattress until three months after I moved in. I slept in a...

Epiphany! I have heard the "improve their situation" explaination before. I had always thought it was politician speak for "earn more money". It has been some time; but I was also using a Netgear NIC with a broadband connection. I only registered a 70 with nothing running but UD. I have heard it said that Intel NICs are good; and so I chalked the discrepancy up to cheap hardware not something malicious from Intel. The rest of my...

I only seem to be immune. Baed on this discussion on the FAH help forum, I have determined that it would be best for you to download the new beta to configure it to not try to use SSE code. Whose war on whose terrorism?

You are going to pretend you don't know why buses have no problem merging under any circumstances. Hint: It's the same reason dump trucks don't have a problem. When those dollars stay close to home it is easier to keep an eye on them as well. I can certainly understand the dislike of the income tax. You look at your paycheck and see that there are a bunch of zeros (relative to income) in that column called taxes. It should only be neccessary to fdsik /mbr from the 98 floppy and then boot from the XP cd and install. All the MS versions use the same MBR since at least 95. The NT/2000/XP specific boot process is dependant on files (ntldr,... ) located in the root of the boot drive.
