I really have no interest in such a noisey machine that has almost no ability to be networked. Do any of you guys think you'd be interested? If not, I will probably sell it on Ebay.

It was given to me.. my aunt bought it at a garage sale but couldn't get it working... really she had no idea what she had bought. But she decided to give it to me.

She already has a PC, printer, etc...

For her uses, the mac would only be good for internet surfing... It's too bad you need an external modem that will probably cost more than the entire computer is worth. AFAIK there is no practical way to get the thing hooked up to ethernet either.

The local schools around here all use PC's. In the range of pII 266 to pIII 650's (this was the state 2 years ago... they'll probably get newer PC's soon)

I think most of them still use win95 or winNT because the school staff has not been trained on how to support win98 (I'm not joking)

However, each school is slightly different and each one has different needs... especially the technical center. Actually.. there are a couple places I can think of where they use Macs.... in the photo and design depts.... however these are G3 or G4 power macs... somewhere about 20 times faster than this thing.

Like I said... this thing is virtually dead when it comes to connecting it to anything else(like a network)... which means it will basically have no usefulness at the school.
