Anyone else read Tom's article on the P4 vs. Athlon XP at very high speeds (3 GHz for the P4, 2GHz for the Athlon, IIRC). Seems the P4 does very well at higher clock speeds. I remember also reading an article (Toms again?) pointing out how RAMBUS memory tends to scale better than DDR. So perhaps the P4+Rambus will make for a nice combo >3GHz.

Hasn't Rambus been saying all along that their memory will scale much better at higher clock speeds, but nobody believes them...

Maybe it is time to start believing them?

Though, it doesn't matter to me as my computer is fast enough as it is. (800MHz PIII)

Man I'd love to have a PC with a Power4 in it. I can imagine how much they must cost. :eekers:

I think about $10,000 per cpu "module" I think (with 4 or 8 or however many cores in each)
