So do people actually have lawns that require watering in Australia?

What is completely idiotic to me is people have lawns in Southern California that have to be watered everyday to stay alive. These people live in a desert!!! They have to pipe water from the Colorado River hundreds of miles just so they can have some fucking grass.

Lawns are an obligatory part of Oz life, but the restrictions are changing that. And no, we don't have any fucking grass, but we do have heaps of bloody grass.
