Any good games??? Harry Potter and the....Lord of the Rings.

I'm wondering if any good strategy type games are out, and, if you have played either of the above, and what you think of them.

I didnt know either of those were games.... I have played warcraft III if that's considered a strategy game... I liked it. At a LAN party we played it for about 4 hours.

I guess it all depends on what type of strategy your after... WC3 is a great game but don't play it online because everyone playes dirty and it's really boring (win or losse you spend more time waiting for the game to load than actaully playing). If your a serious strategy buff then there is always he latest Total War game, Medieval Total War, havn't played them myself but the whole series recieved rave reviews...

The Lord of the rings game blows, as has every other lord of the rings game for every other platform.

As for the Harry potter games the first one was quite good I believe as games made from movies go, so not as good as an original game but not bad... The second one is finished but not yet released and I havn't spoken to anyone who has it imagine it would be quite well made but not fantastic.

Starcraft 2 is nearly in Beta so if Blizzards past efforts are anything to go by we should see it within the next 24 months...

Overall not a whole lot happening in strategy at the moment the next big gamming thing looks to be fps titles based on the new unreal tournament 2003 engine...

From what I've heard, Microsoft has released a successor to the wonderful Age of Empires franchise: Age of Mythology.
