I just noticed something really strange...my windows XP has a bug. OK, some of you say... "Nah, not windows..."? 
Anyway, I installed XP pro (yes a legal purchased copy, it was the $40 ben's bargain copy I got a while back) on my new system and I didn't activate it because I thought I might be swaping around hardware. So I finally have the box as I like it and I decided to use windows update website to fix all the gaping security holes in the system. The windows update site installed tons of fixes including service pack 1 and directX 9a.
Well today I notice my little icon says I still have 30 days remaining to activate windows...but I installed it on Saturday, three days ago...
I believe I just found a way around windows activation without hacking a damn thing. I'll let you know on May 3rd when this should halt my machine until I activate. I'm gunna let this thing go as long as I can. No reason for me to activate it if I don't have to...
