Is this Hauppauge TV card a good one?

Thanks

Hardware-wise, those are pretty nice cards. There are probably cheaper options that use the same underlying chipset, but in this case you might prefer a branded WinTV card.

There are still issues you might need to address, especially if you have cable TV or Satellite service.

That's a nice setup except I'm dealing with Comcast Digital. And when I checked the Sandisk site, I found it works on Comcast but doesn't get the channels we watch the most.

Thanks

Well, you need one that accepts a cable card and use Windows 7 then. But, even that still won't get you the channels that are using SDV.

Basically no one likes Cablecard. Hopefully the move to replace it with a new standard for digital cable access will be available soon.

Cablecard is a big part of the reason I gave up on the idea of TV on a PC in favor of just torrenting everything.

There's supposed to be a three-tuner version of the HDHomerun coming out later in the year which will accept Cablecraps.
