Can USB/Flash drives be seen/used in DOS?

Floppies really give me the irrits.

I could burn onto CD/CDRW, but a thumb drive seems much easier.

Sometimes still I absolutely have to boot into DOS from a floppy.

Actually, IBM branded machines have been able to boot USB devices for as long as they've had USB ports. ;)

Ghost - about the only non-game DOS program I use - can see some Firewire and USB drives. Depending on the hardware in question, you might be able to configure your DOS machine as a LAN manager client and map to the drive (on another machine) through that.

Yes, and it is also possible to boot from a CF card and USB 2 reader. I have several utilities on a old 128MB card which is otherwise useless. Drive Image, Parturition magic, old versions of Ghost, and True Image work fine.
