Not rare as a blue moon, but it doesn't happen everyday either.

The 2005FPW is now 759.20$ and the 2405FPW is 1119,20$ (the lowest it has ever been to my knowledge here).

The prices will probably stay like that until thursday next week. I'm freaking tempted.

How nice's the 2405FPW Pradeep? PC Mag folks prefered it to the HP L2335, but PCWorld and Anandtech both favored the SIPS-based HP 23 inches.

It's been working fine. You get used to 24" real quick. Personally I don't find the improvement over 1600*1200 to be all that staggering. I won't be getting another until I can get me some 30" luvin.

Nice....unfortunately the moons in the Dell-CityK continuum just aren't aligned at this very moment and, consequently, it just ain't going to happen...this time...but I thoroughly encorage them to continue to implement price parity practices for the future.

Anandtech seems to have compared the 23" HP it to the 20" 2005FPW.

Anandtech[/url]]HP brought a lot to the table today. Virtually all of the features from the Dell 2005FPW also show up in this display, but unlike the Dell 2405FPW, HP uses a SIPS LG.Philips LCD panel. Picture in Picture, multiple inputs and signal zoom are all features on Dell's enthusiast displays right now, so the fact that HP included them in their 23" model puts both the 2405FPW and the L2335 on the same page at least - with the exception of split screen. However, the Dell 2405FPW has two major differences; first, it only costs $840 on sale (usually) and second, it uses a slightly larger, but slower response time panel (Samsung claims 8ms transient response time, but occasionally, this is just clever marketing rather than a true TrTf or Gray to Gray number).
