i have a chance to purchase a new DPT SmartRaid Millennium 3 channel Ultra2 SCSI High Performance Raid Controller Kit with 80 meg EDO ECC for $200 but not sure if it's worth is .. rrp is still over $3500 here in oz so i'm told. i can't find any current prices on it.

what do you guys think?

It does sound to good to be true. *shrug* I have sworn off thinking until the semester is over.

DPT = Not such a good RAID controller (...or NSAGRC). Therefore, you didn't waste your money!
