Some KVM switches have a USB port on them. Sticking a hub on that and all your peripherals off that is the best way. Some devices have issues with this, and I've never tried it with a Wacom.

Probably, but this plus this looks pretty easy. The complications (and price) show up when you want multiple monitors/HDMI/DVI.

Also can check into a PS/2 to USB converter. Or just update the mouse and keyboard.

The adapter does not fucntion correctly. I think it can wait for future upgrades in a few years or when mouse and KB die.
