external firewire

Need some extra storage for large file photos and want to add a external 100 gig + drive to my comp. Right now I have 4 Seagate scsi drives raid 0 but really don't know much about these new external FW drives. Can any of you recommend a good external FW drive and will there be any problems useing FW and scsi? I really only want it for extra storage but need it reliable. Am looking at WD 1200 SE with 8megs of cache. Any and all recommendations welcome.

I can recommend the ADS Pyro Drive Kit. One thing to keep in mind is that there is no apparent performance diff between the 2MB and 8MB versions when used in an external Firewrie enclosure.

I can vouch for the Granite Digital internal drive kit. Beware that the IDE/FW conversion chip has a speed limitation less than that of today's drives.
