I am not sure I understand the problem that's supposed to be addressed by this. I can't recall seeing an embedded video that would not play in Firefox in a very, very long time.
Does anyone know where one could find something that would require one to use this new player?
Of course, these days everyone uses a flash-based player anyway.

Embedded WMP does not work for me in Firefox. I have no idea why. So, this would probably fix that for me. But, embedded WMP is becoming less and less prevalent. I really have no idea why anyone would use it in the first place.
