Today I've had a bunch of computers hang on a Windows Update. After leaving them for a long period of time (>45 minutes) I got bored and tried an Alt-Ctrl-Del and got the login screen. This normally doesn't work, but it seems the recent updates have a glitch.

I am omnipresent
I had a number of servers hang on a .NET update last night as well. They were all Server 2003 machines and they all required a hard reset.
This crap never happens to my Centos machines.:evil::evil::evil::evil:

My company provided Windows 7 computer has Office 2013 / 365 on it and it seems that on most patch Tuesdays it downloads somewhere between 800-1000MB of Office related updates. :cursin:

No reports of end user machines hanging on updates here; just users who won't install their updates.

Run the "disk cleanup" utility for the best chance at getting space back.

I really wish the wsus admin console told me the last logged on user like my av console does.
