Awesome story. I love the fact that despite the corporation's best efforts, this amazing entrepreneur managed to create the flagship app for their critical new hardware platform. Too outrageous even for Dilbert.

Some people might think that a company that purports to be an 'innovator' would be desperate to add such a resourceful individual to their management, or even just to their ranks, but the best they could manage was a 'nominal settlement'. I think this is the real takeaway.
