I'm looking at buying some more space for a couple machines and I'm looking for any feedback on the Maxtor 300GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive, Model 6B300S0. (is it a good/bad decision and why)

SR has it in their database, but no review attached to it, just the performance numbers. It ranks fairly high in performance with no other SATA/ATA drive being faster except for the raptor in many of the tests. I know many speak highly of Samsung, but they don't have a drive that large (yet).

I'm also considering a couple of samsung 160GB 7200RPM SATA, Model SP1614C in addition to the maxtor. If only samsung's larger drives were available (SP2504C), I'd get those.

I purchased a pair of the ATA versions of that drive, and I have no complaints. I'm quite pleased with them, and I'm surprised at how quiet they are. Seeks are noticeable, but then I like to be able to hear a disk seek.
