The first post I managed to bumble finger. :tdown:

Here are the ATTO results for 5 hard drive I tested. They were all tested on the same computer; Intel DH55TC, Intel i5 760, and 16GB of RAM.
Some of the results are interestng.
I left out the chart from the original Raptor.

I don't see anything unusual, depending on which model of the drive is being tested. The WD Black must be an old model or not empty.

The WD Black has a date of 26 Dec 2010. I had to format all these drives to test them, except the SSD. It was the boot drive.

The WD RE4 and VelociRaptor have almost identical read/write numbers.
The WD RE4 is $79.99 and the VelociRaptor is $199.99. Access time should be better with the VelociRaptor, but not $120.00 better.

Atto does not display access times. In fact Atto is only really useful as a diagnostic.

My WD black desktop drives are much faster than that shown. The WD2001FASS reaches around 140MB/sec and even the 2-year old FALS designs were around 110MB/sec.
