Has anyone here purchased a home using Redfin or any other similar service? I'm interested in a home and was considering using them for the rebate but only have various online reviews to go by so far. I'm curious if anyone here has gone through using them when purchasing a place and what your thoughts were. I'm also curious for feedback for or against them in general.

How much is the rebate versus using a broker/agent?
The rebate would be 1.5% (several thousand dollars) of the purchase price when using Redfin and no rebate when using a broker and/or agent. Reviews seem to be all over the place with people having both great and bad experiences.

AFAIK, they basically act as your Realtor so they get 3% from the seller which they then give you half of.

I've bought three places and I've always used an agent. It's nice to have someone local to call when shit hits the fan.
