I'm an Insanity magnet

Why do random people instant message me, and then wont shut up? If normal people randomly messaged me that would be one thing but no! I get the nut cases and drunks, and wierdos. Is there anyway this will ever stop?

OK I read halfway down and got fed up. "They'll throw me out if I like anime" pffft...

I've set up ICQ to ignore people not on my list... the funniest was my ex-girlfriend, she had the nickname "Ramones", from the old 70's group. For some reason everyone from Brazil and Mexico who had ICQ were messaging her. We're talking 20 messages a day, only from people who spoke Spanish. They didn't know English, and assumed everyone speaks Spanish so half the time was spent writing back to them "I don't know Spanish", but after that they would still insist on speaking Spanish, after a while she would get fed up and start swearing at them, but they would continue in Spanish, they just wouldn't get the message. I mean, how hard is f*** off to understand, even if you don't speak English?

When I was in college I used to email random people, found through the "finger" service on Unix systems, love notes. That was 1993 or so. I write really weird, funny things. Since I went to school in Indiana, I'd pick people going to school in New York or California.

Sometimes people would write back their own strange things (those that got the joke, I guess) and sometimes I'd get back something like "I think you have the wrong person". Nobody was ever mad about it, and a lot of times I'd get back a sincere "thanks for doing that, even if you aren't serious" sort of tone in the reply.

But looking back, yeah, that was kind of insane.

So no one got down to the point where she tells me about her insane friend who tried to kill her, but it wasnt a big deal.

People I don't know will try to talk to me, but I usually just ignore them. Or in a worse case scenario you can always block them.

Oh yes, I did read that far. In fact, eventually I read it all. (Yes, I'm bored)

I particularly liked the part when she comes back saying she just vomited. And that her friend is having sex next door.
