The idea has some merit, I think, but after looking at lindows.org, what I see is a plain ol' Linux distro with WINE already installed.
It looks like the only value they add is the "click and run warehouse", a means of distributing both Windows applications that will run under WINE and linux applications that work in a manner similar to Windows apps.
It's based on debian, so I'm sure it's a nice product, but I'd really want to look at how things (e.g. mounting disks, security patching) are handled before I make any final judgement.
