Hi Folks,
I was able to create a mirror using mdadm with 3 disks.
Then I made one of the disks as offline and the raid mirror went to degraded mode. The disk is marked as removed in the mdadm --detail.
The disk then came back online and the raid mirror continues to be in degraded mode and doesn't recognize that the disk has come back online. Is this normal ?
the mdadm --add also fails stating --re-add failed and a zero-superblock needs to be done on the disk which came back online.
Is this the way mdadm supposed to behave ?
