Just like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and hope you enjoy a safe and pleasant holiday period.
For all others who also celebrate other events at this time I also wish a:
  • Happy Hanukkah
  • Io, Saturnalia!
  • Happy and Joyful Kwanzaa
  • Happy Constitution Day
  • Joyful Feast of Winter Veil
  • Happy Malkh-Festival
  • Happy Festivus
  • A peaceful Anastasia of Sirmium feast day
  • And reasons greeting for those that celebrate Newtonmas

PS. Apologies if I missed a holiday you celebrate.

I believe it is more correct to wish for an adequate airing of grievances on Festivus.
I was supposed to have a gathering on the solstice but there was a goddamned blizzard. I'm not exactly complaining but I have about 4kg of standing rib roast work work through in the next few days.

Only 16 more shopping days until Tet!

My social circle includes someone who celebrates Tet AND someone who celebrates Diwali AND All Souls Day (Mexican day of the dead) for reasons related to her ancestry and she is the same person. Which I think is really damned cool.

Of note here in Oz. Our local Woolworths (one of the two giant near-monopoly supermarket chains) started selling hot cross buns the very next day after Christmas. What's next? Santa hats on Easter Monday?
