I thought this looked like a good deal personally. I've found my 5 port 10/100 netgear hub to be of excellent quality and haven't had problems with my FA311 (although I know others have noted particular incompatibilites with some motherboards)

Not a bad deal, if only for the two FA310s (Tulip clones I believe). Far better than those POS FA311s.

Downsides: 10BaseT hub, Tulip prob unsupported in Server 2003, 310 NIC is 5V only (I believe).

yeah the equipment isn't anything new (the 310's been around for atleast 3 years I believe)

But for somebody wanting to network a few computers easily it would be nice. At minimum they could keep the NICs and sell the Hub and put the money towards a new 100Mbit switch.
