Nvidia's allocation nightmare
Eva sigh of relief, cards almost here

THAT PEGGY'S BEEN ringing me on my cellphone again, just as I was getting a box of chocs and a billet doux from my old friend Jack at TMTA.
She says that, yeah, GeForce FX cards will indeed ship from the 20th, but there's trouble at the fab mill, Jim.
According to her, there's an allocation of 2,000 cards for the US, 1400 for the European Union and a measly 750 for the whole of Asia.
And Terratec, Creative, PNY, BFG, Gainward, Leadtek, Asus, and MSI will all have to share this generous amount between themselves.
These cards will be 128MB cards, apparently, and you can kiss the 256MB cards farewell until the NV35 arrives.
Sheesh! µ
