I'm surprised the Pentium 5 name never emerged when the HyperThreading architecture was implemented. Oh well... here comes the Sextium I guess :lol:

    Intel Corp.'s Pentium 4 brand, its flagship desktop processor since 2000, will be retired with the launch of the company's first dual-core desktop processor, it announced at the Spring Intel Developer Forum. The company also outlined features of its first batch of dual-core processors. Intel said Pentium D, code-named Smithfield, will ship by year's end

It sounds to me like they're dropping the name "Pentium 4."

It's not as if we're going to move on to the "Sexium" or something.

I think maybe thermium, nuclium, or perhaps solarium would be appropriate given the number of BTUs these things put out.
