I think the #1 thing I want and need to see in XP is the chroot-like system for allowing non-privileged accounts to install/run software only within their personal user.dat and homedir.

Supposedly Vista will have that.

Anyway, user accounts are largely recoverable - you grab their favorites, their desktop, their Documents folder, .dbx/.pst/.mbox file... that stuff can pretty well be automated.
