Opera Transfers

Opera calls downloads transfers. I thought that was silly.
But it always wants to bring the transfers tab to the front when I download something. Anybody know how to change this? something like open transfers tab in background or something? I looked in the prefs and couldn't find one.

In Firefox I got a plugin that moves the downloads status bar to just that; another status bar along the bottom opf the window. Far more user friendly. Perhaps Opera has a similar plugin?

Found it! In the transfers tab there is a view menu at the top near the stop and retransfer buttons. Clicking it reveals three options, one of which is show transfers tab in background.

Now if I could just get it to stop making my desktop flash when I open a bunch of bookmarks in tabs I would be all set.
