does anybody know a way of getting the audio track from a .rm and encoding it into an MP3 (or wave, for that matter)? I see that dbPowerAMp can do .rm to MP3, but it crashes on me every time I try, so I'm guessing it sees that I'm trying to convert a .rm video and not audio and gives up.

It would be very nice to get all of my medical school's lectures and put the audio into MP3.

Streambox can do that. It's basically illegal in the US, but if you do a google search you'll find it.

Minnesota is in Canada, right? ;)

Whoops. I read "rm" as "ra". My bad.

Uh... you might try installing the Kazaa Lite Codec pack - which includes the realplayer codecs - and running your .rms through virtualdub. That might work.

although the only way I can figure out how to use a specific codec is to rip to .wav then convert to MP3 using dbPowerAmp.
