Why, why did that old fat cleless dummy had to leave Pedro pitch in the 8th inning? Why? Please tell me!

The Red Sox's bull pen has been exellent in the series and Pedro rarely pitches more than 7 innings. He did a great job in this game to give a chance to the Sox of winning the game. There was no, absolutely no reason to let him pitch the 8th.

Sox's coach should be fired and through naked in a prison cell filled with gay bikers. He just ruined a great start by Pedro and probably their entire season. I'm pissed.

The eighth ends with the Yanks leaving the bases loaded and the game tied!

Out damned Bambino out! It is Abner Doubleday himself who compells you, out!

On to the bottom of the ninth...

There's been some great games this postseason. I was hoping for Cubs vs. Red Sox, but that obviously won't happen.

I've stopped watching the game, I know Red Sox will lose. Wouldn't it has been of their stupid coach, Sox would be in the World Serie by now, winning the seventh game 5-2.

You're lucky to have guns in the U.S. Now prove me you know how to use them and shoot Grady Little.

Whatever you all are whining about, it has nothing on the sheer hate being cast at the guy who ruined game 6 for the Cubs.

I mean, I've spoken to 60ish grandmothers who were wishing painful deaths on that poor guy.

I wonder if the cops are still guarding that guys house? I hope so. Poor bastard didn't do anything anyone else would not have.

On to the eleventh inning. Wakefield has his stuff again tonight. That knuckle ball is moving around nicely. Sox could pull it off.

I hate watching the Yankees bat. You just know one of them will put one over the fence then it's all over. Damn Bambino!

Seriously. I heard a pensioner praying to god for justice for that guy. I mean, it's one thing to hate somebody, but when you start telling god to do it, I gotta figure that's serious.

Even the Governor is getting on him.
"If he commits a crime, he won't get a pardon from this governor," Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich jokingly told the Chicago Sun-Times. "You've got to be looking out for your team."

I feel sorry for the guy.

Bill, do you ever get tired of not having good taste? :)

I mean, really. I hate sports. I think they're stupid (except topless pillow fighting and women's gymnastics and beach volleyball), but come on, even I think it would've been neat to have the bridesmaids of baseball playing each other.

If only to get the guys I see every day talking about something besides football.

Actually I could care less about who wins the world series. Just as long as the Yankees lose I'll be happy.

Some folks just don't like sports. My oldest son Will (23) loves sports of all types. But then Chris my youngest (18) could care less. Just a personality difference. I'm so so about sports. I enjoy football and baseball but could not care less about the rest.

Shame on all of you. :nono: Not a Yankees fan in sight. :(

Seriously, if the Yankees lost today I would have had to listen to my father for the entire winter. :crucified: You wouldn't want to subject anybody to that, now would you?

P.S. I can't afford to move out as much as I might feel like it sometimes so don't even suggest that option.

Well knowing that it will help you hold onto your sanity makes it a little easier to bare.

In a way being a Red Sox fan would never be the same again if the made it to the series and actually won. Something about their ineptitude and the curse of the Bambino is endearing to us all.

Perhaps. I was always a hockey fan of the Quebec Nordiques because they were the underdogs. They moved to Colorado, and I stayed a fan, then they won the Stanley Cup in their first full season, and I am still a fan. So, I am sure plenty of Red Sox fans would enjoy the win, and still have a fond feeling for the team. Besides, you know that if they did win this series, they probably wouldn't win again for another 10 years, giving Sox fans something to caringly diatribe.

Really?

You're in California and you were a fan of the farthest team from your area? Is your name Buck Tremblay or what?

I tend to prefer teams for the players who play for them. That's why I liked the Colorado Avalanche from the moment Roy came with them and why I like the Red Sox in baseball : Pedro Martinez.

At least this year the Canadiens of Montréal (I admit they have an awful name) have a team that I might follow a bit more than during the past seven seasons. On paper, they should be a horrible team, but they have a lot of promising young players and Théodore, their goalthender, seems to have found back his 2001 skills. We'll see, season's too young to tell.

Someone should tell the NY Post who won the game.
